In this video, Christine outlines why 2023 might be her last year on Youtube.
She made some points that I thought were valid -
- Content has become disposable. The algorithm works both ways -
- Viewers are hooked on watching more content
- Creators are hooked on creating more content - so that they stay relevant.
- Content creation is a job and is not fun when you are worried about capturing the moments.
- Content creation gets in the way of other goals and ambitions.
The points above are good reasons for anyone not to join youtube as a content creator.
